George Gibson Jr., former chief engineer for Dodge, died January 21, 2015 in Rochester, Minnesota at the age of 92. He’s best known for developing the Dodge Dart, which returned to the lineup a few years ago. New Illinois Leasing Law Cuts Taxes in Half

On January 1, 2015, leasing a vehicle in Illinois became quite a bit more attractive (by 50%, if you look at the numbers). The new Illinois Leasing Law reduces the amount of tax that a customer would pay while leasing a car. At the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Chrysler showed off its new and improved Uconnect system. This updated connectivity service now includes a new Uconnect smartphone app that lets drivers set navigation destinations, locate their cars with their phones, and get a health report, all without sitting in the driver’s seat. Upcoming Venture Drive Traffic Plan Revealed Near Peru Mall

A new traffic plan was revealed to the public last week by the city of Peru, detailing an upcoming intersection that will make life easier and safer at the 38th Street shopping intersection, north of the Peru Mall. According to the plan, two left-hand turns would be restored to the road, and Venture Drive would be moved about 150 feet westward, so that it intersects with 38th Street at the location where the entrance to a strip mall currently resides.
