While advertisements are almost always meant to get you to buy something, you can still love them. And we sure love the new ad for the Challenger and Charger Hellcats and Viper. The new Dodge Hellcat ad called “Predators” will not only make you want to buy a Dodge Charger Hellcat, Challenger Hellcat, or Viper GTS, but you might also want to queue up some Phil Collins or even visit Miami.
Dodge unveiled two cuts of the ad, a long 90-second version and a shorter 30-second spot that show off all three cars. The ad is meant to feel intense and set a tone for the overall Dodge brand.
“The Challenger and Charger Hellcats and Dodge Viper are halo vehicles – they make bold statements about the attitude and personality of the full Dodge lineup,” said Olivier Francois, Chief Marketing Officer, FCA – Global, in a statement. “The high-energy driving and aggressively shot images in ‘Predators,’ matched with a haunting soundtrack, leave little doubt in anyone’s mind that Dodge is America’s mainstream performance brand.”
To create the ad, Dodge used a helicopter, drones, and cameras mounted to the cars. In fact, the automaker had to use another Hellcat as the pursuit vehicle to shoot the car-to-car scenes since nothing else could keep up with the speed of the cars.
Watch the long version of the ad below. We certainly won’t blame you if you have to watch it more than once.
