The designers at Fiat Chrysler (FCA) were given a chance to go wild on a performance-centric design in the “Gran Turismo 6” video game. The official design from the SRT performance team is called the “SRT Tomahawk Vision Gran Turismo” and was in reply to an invitation from the video game franchise to automakers to design their own concepts.
The SRT Tomahawk design is an ultra-aggressive hybrid supercar that rides low to the ground on huge wide-set tires. In a teaser video released by the FCA design team, the single-seat SRT Tomahawk is shown to feature angular flared fenders, exposed carbon-fiber body panels, and a familiar Dodge Viper-style hood scoop. The rear sports even more carbon fiber, surrounded by slicing brake lights and a central stack of five exhaust ports; bespeaking the Tomahawk’s power.
“It has guts to it,” says head of Dodge and SRT Design Mark Trostle. “We worked to make sure that it pushed the envelope.”
There is no word of whether there will be a full-scale version, but you can plan a visit to Coronet Dodge to see the compelling 2015 line up of Dodge cars and trucks.
