The automobile world keeps pumping out smarter, safer, and more stylish crossovers, and each brand is looking to fill its SUV lineup with a variety of options for the modern family to choose from. Now, an all-new Jeep® crossover with three rows of versatile space and a rugged design has been spotted out and about on test drives. Brand-new spy photos are giving enthusiasts a closer look at what this new nameplate will offer drivers.
The model will be the first-ever full-size Jeep® offering. Based on the overall look of the crossover’s instrument cluster, experts predict that its main powertrain will be the turbocharged four-cylinder engine found on many other Jeep® nameplates. The design of the steering wheel and shifter bear a close resemblance to the design found inside the Jeep® Grand Cherokee.
Jeep® also introduced a concept SUV in China in 2017, and based on recent spy photos, enthusiasts are beginning to think that Jeep® Yuntu concept shown in China may have been the design predecessor for this upcoming crossover. Some leaked images have also hinted that the all-new Jeep® crossover might be named the “Grand Commander,” but this has not been confirmed by Jeep® representatives. There’s no word yet on when the new crossover will debut in the U.S.
