When most people think of a papal visit, it usually involves plenty of security and the famous Popemobile. If you’ve been keeping an eye on cars used by the Pope, odds are you already know that the Pope’s FIAT® 500L went up for auction not long ago. This is the second of the two models used by the Pope during his 2015 World Meeting of Families visit in Philadelphia.
The first of the Pope’s FIAT® 500L models went to auction in January 2016 and netted an impressive $82,000. The proceeds benefited the most vulnerable people in the area. It’s likely that the proceeds from the auction of the second model will do the same.
The 2015 FIAT® 500L went up for auction on Charitybuzz with an estimated value price of $75,000. The auction closed on December 20.
The car itself boasts a 1.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that delivers plenty of pep. It comes mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox and has just 458 miles on the odometer. The metallic grey exterior houses an interior, which features black leather upholstery.
We here at Coronet Chrysler Dodge Jeep® Ram are glad to see the proceeds from the FIAT® 500L Popemobile going towards a good cause!
