Every year, in-car technology gets more and more advanced. At the 2016 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas held earlier this month, FCA showed off its fourth-generation Uconnect system. This new system will have improved performance and will include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
“The Uconnect team is evolving Uconnect and making it even better,” said Joni Christensen, Head of Uconnect Marketing, FCA US LLC, in a statement. “With the launch of the fourth generation of Uconnect systems, we are continuing to minimize the everyday stresses of busy lifestyles by providing drivers with a variety of ways to stay conveniently connected to their vehicles, while making every drive exceptionally informative, entertaining and unique.”
CES attendees were able to experience the all-new system firsthand with demonstrations in the 2016 Dodge Charger Pursuit featuring the Uconnect 12.1 system.
The new system will debut in select FCA models later this year. Drivers will notice the system’s faster startup time, enhanced processing power, improved resolution on the touchscreens, and heightened responsiveness.
Here at Coronet Dodge, we can’t wait to try the fourth-generation Uconnect system for ourselves.
